The tenth Sheffield Beer Week 2024 kicks off on 4 March, marking seven packed days of beery fun.
Jules Gray of Hop Hideout is at the helm. Each year Jules encourages pubs, booze shops and breweries across the city to do something special for Sheffield Beer Week, to really show off the very best of the Sheffield beer scene.
The 2024 programme is themed around strands including Beer and Food, Community, Heritage, International Women's Day and 10 years of Beer Week, plus a celebration of access to green spaces alongside The Festival of the Outdoors.
There'll be unique beer tastings, walks, tap takeovers, meet-the-brewer sessions, brewery tours, exhibitions, food matching menus, and more.

Indie Beer Feast
1–2 March
As a prelude to Sheffield Beer Week 2024, Indie Beer Feast will once again get things going in style. Two days of indulgence in Trafalgar Warehouse, it brings together fine beers, natural wines and ciders from around the city and country, alongside musical performances, food and pop-up tastings.
Bundobust Brewery Tap Takeover & Paired Food Menu at The Greystones
4 March, from 4pm, free entry
All week, the pub will host six beer lines (three cask, three keg) to showcase a variety of Bundobust beers. Alongside Indian street food and pizza specials.
International Women's Collaboration Brew Day at Heist Brew Co
7 March, 8am–3pm, free – contact Heist to book in advance
Held around International Women’s Day (8 March), IWCBD is an initiative to support women and non-binary people in the beer industry and widen access to the craft brewing world. No brewing experience needed.
Queer Brewing & Closet Brewing Tap Takeover at The Old Shoe
8 March, from 12pm, free entry
Tied in with this year’s themes of community and the outdoors, The Old Shoe host this double takeover. Queer Brewing are a micro brewery based in London. Closet Brewing started as the smallest brewery in Edinburgh, with the motto ‘Drink Good Beer with Good People’. Their friends at Peak Queer Adventures are also organising a little outing in the local area, ending at The Old Shoe.
Saint Mars of the Desert Taproom Opening
8–9 March, 2–8pm, free entry
The Attercliffe-based brewery once again throws open its taproom doors after a break.
Hop Hideout x Triple Point x Run Talk Run 5km Run & Brewery Tour
9 March, 11:30, meet at Hop Hideout inside Kommune, free – RSVP
Celebrate the launch of collaborative beer Ethel, named after the local environmental campaigner Ethel Haythornthwaite. The 5km loop will pass CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire’s office – a charity set up by Ethel 100 years ago to protect the local countryside. Stopping half way if you’d like to buy a beer and enjoy a free whistle stop brewery tour at Triple Point. Before heading back to Hop Hideout for a social. Co-hosted by Sheffield mental health friendly running group Run Talk Run.
Terra Tempo Brewing at The Rutland Arms
9 March, Rutland Arms, 12pm, free entry
See what this new brewery is all about and chat to the brewer. Terra Tempo specialise in mixed fermentation, with a focus on sustainability, using hops and fruit grown on the North Downs farm where they’re based.
